Sven Libaek - Solar Flares, 1974

This album is so beautiful. Can find some elements of easy listening and space age pop with a pretty funky grooves in some track: Destination Omega 3 or Quasars. The best of the album is the self named Solar Flares, space bossa nova with an electric guitar solo and synthesizer, amazing! Meteoric Rain and Conversations with Hal are great too. One day a friend of mine who discovered this composer via last.fm asked me - is this Air, the french band? and now I think he was not so far to defining its style. It's like a retro Moon Safari, without vocals.

1, Solar Flares
2, Stella Maris
3, Lift Off
4, Destination Omega 3
5, Conversations with Hal
6, No Flowers On Venus
7, Quasars
8, Meteoric Rain
9, Space Walk
10, Infinite Journey
11, In Nebular Orbit
12, ...and Beyond

Sun Safari!

Best of : Marilyn Monroe

Today I release a new section I called Best Of. All of them collected by me.

I've always admired this woman. She was maybe a not so good actress or singer, but she has always been the most lightness shadow of Hollywood. A dirty and cracked diamond. Very few people knew who she really was, and maybe she was one of them too. Finally, she meet the death before the love, and that was her big tragedy.

Now we can hear her voice and reminds her with a sad smile.

Diamonds!

VA : Rare & Bizarre 3

Compiled and designed by me.

Maybe you can think a third part could be too much. Well, I have to say you that it's not the last one. But you also must know that I made it with all my touch and care. Then, I believe it's better than the previous ones. In this volume I tried to put the songs most difficult to find, although, not for that reason, less good. Indeed, they're very good! Tell me but, when you hear Honkey Tonk, Tropicando, I Like it Cool or Dancing Drums. And finally, I put for once and for all my favourite song by Morricone: Metti Una Sera a Cena with the most precious hummer woman in the music history Edda Dell'orso (we love her). I hope you like it, too.

OST : Dracula

I've been always fascinated by Dracula, since I was a child. I like everything related to his figure ...except the blood. When I was a child I imagine myself living eternaly in a big castle in the top of a green hill with a lot of beautiful virgins around me...

Well, but today the most important thing is the music, like everyday, so...

In 1897 Bram Stoker published Dracula, a history of vampire inspired for a real emperator called Vlad 'Tepes' Draculea (The Impaler) who regned in Velaquia, Rumania since 1448 to 1476 and impaled more than 20.000 persons. Another book he readed 20 years before and also inspired to write his best-seller was Carmilla from Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu published in 1871.

OST : Dracula
composed by Philip Glass and performed by the Kronos Quartet in 1999

The Bela Lugosi's classic from 1931 directed by Tod Browning did not have any film score, the only music you can heard were Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake and Wagner's Die Meistersinger. And who-know-why Philip Glass composed in 1999 a perfect minimal strings score for the film.

I'm Dracula!

OST : Bram Stoker's Dracula
composed by Wojciech Kilar in 1992

Winona Ryder is gorgeous. Coppola's modern classic movie I love. The film score it's not bad.

I'm Dracula too!
